Default Audi Remote Programming - Need Help

I tried programming the remote, but it doesn't work. Can anyone please help me out wid this. I tired these steps but didn't c any parking lights flashing.

1. Take the valet key, put it into the ignition and turn the key to the "on" position, just prior to starting the car.

2. Roll down the driver's side window (not required, but a good idea in case there's a problem).

3. Exit the car and close the door.

4. With a second key, physically lock the doors (don't use a remote).

5. Take the first remote to be programmed, press one of the buttons and the lights will flash once. Wait 10 seconds and press the unlock button. The doors should unlock. That first transmitter is now programmed.

6. Lock the door again (physically) with the key, (not the remote).

7. Press one of the buttons twice, the lights will flash twice. Wait 10 seconds and press the unlock button. The doors should unlock. The second transmitter is now programmed.

Please Help

Thats the correct sequence but if you didn't erase the previous settings it won't allow you to input new ones. Do the same thing you were doing but push the button 5 times and then wait for about 10 seconds, this will erase all four possible remote key settings.
Take the key out of the door and then perform the procedure you described again and it should work, if it doesn't check the remote batteries voltage, has tobe over 3V.

I have one more question?? When it says to turn to Ignition, is it the same as turning on the Engine(Car), and also when u lock the door with the Second key, do u have to hold the key or just lock and release it. Any help on this is really appreciated.

Thanks for the Previous response. Will try it asap. Thanks

You just turn the key on (don't start the engine) when using the key in the door you just have to lock it then let it go and start pressing either the lock or un-lock buttons it doesn't matter which.

Is it at all possible to program a newly purchased remote with just one key? I only have a valet key since that was the only key the previous owner had.

Use the valet key in the ignition, and the fob key
in the door.
