Can anyone help me, I have a TT coupe reg 57. A few weeks ago, in the hot weather after getting in and closing door I heard a loud bang like somebody was hitting the roof of the car. I put this down to the hot weather and metal expanding, however it has carried on, every time I shut the door well a couple of seconds after or when i turn the key. Can anyone help.

I have experienced loud thumping on the roof on my 2013 A5. It scared the heck out of me. And then the radio shorts out. I thought it was the hot weather contracting the metal but it happened on a cool evening too. Help.

 

We have a 2013 Allroad with the same issue. It has happened about 6 or 8 times while going about 60 MPH. Sounds like a basketball bouncing off the roof, a couple of bounces. The dealer says they have not heard about this before.
