Blinking code in odometer
I have a 96 a6 quattro wagon 2.8 v6, today there is a blinking code where he trip odometer reading is.
It says 1n .1 Does anyone know what this means? Is it a service reminder or something like that?
Is it seroius? The car runs fine. Eventually the trip odometer reading comes back. Will it need to be vag comed?
thanks.

It IS a service reminder. Stealerships (of course), and some Audi-knowledgable service stations can make it go away. DO a search on here. I think someone posted a "how-to" on clearing it, once before. And, yes, it can also be VAG-COM'd away.
IF you have the owners manual it explains which services coincide with which service reminders. What's listed for your model will most likely be listed differently for my 4.2L V8 A8...
You cud mayby check the A6 section and ask if anybody has a manual for your model and maybe wud look it up for you

I have a manual, but it does not detail the service necessary. I searched the forum for instructions on how to reset, but the were for newer years, 1998 and above.
Are you on any of the "other" boards? Audizine? Audiworld? Mebbee thye have something... Mebbee do a Google? Dunno what to tell ya, from here. Sorry.
