boost prob. only spikes when cold-strange noise too
Ok i have a 99 aeb a4 with a tip. only thing it has is gauge and MBC, i dont need the lecture on the chip- i got it on the way as soon as a buddys car is sold. The problem lies with my boost spike. Its normaly set around 8 or 9 psi, but when i just start the car up, before the temp gauge reads 11o'clock the boost spikes fro like 4psi to around 12 and of course hits fuel cut.(i believe its a spike, it just jumps out of nowhere with almost no resistance, correct?) Also hear this strange noise when it does, sounds wierd and new to me, hard to even describe.
ok heres my best description. it sounds like a piece of spring steele or metal held on one end, beeing pulled back and let go, vibrating back and forth for a second?????? it too goes away after its warm
once the car is warmed up to about 11'oclock on the temp gauge everything is good, no cut, no spikes, nothing but smooth driving.
ive been having trouble with the MAF latly- wasnt sure how this would cause it with a MBC regulating the pressure "mechanically" as it does.
MAF is on the way anyhow and ill check it out but if you have any idea please let me know, i could use the help. It makes driving a pain untill the car is fully warmed up.
Any other questions you need please feel free to ask
