Default Brake fluid change using Mity-Vac

I tried to change the brake fluid on my 97 1.8T yesterday using a Mity-Vac. It didn't work; it didn't seem to be able to pull out fluid in any quantity. Also seemed to draw a lot of air out, apparently in though the threads of the bleed fitting.

Has anyone else had any experience using a Mity-Vac to change the brake fluid on these things? I have used the Mity-Vac on my motorcycles; it works great there. But this one has me scratching my head. Thanks

Dave

go to the store and buy a cheap turkey baster and some vacuum hose. use that to suck out the fluid once you pull the screen out. this is what they do at the dealer when they tell you your brake fluid needs to be changed.
