Default Brake Problem

Just picked up a '98 A4 yesterday. There is something wrong with the brakes. The feel fine most of the time, but fairly often when stopping at low speeds they make a metal knocking noise and I can feel it in the pedal. Brand new brakes, not sure what the problem is. Also, car only came with 1 key. What's the best way to get a fullkey without paying $$$.

Default RE: Brake Problem

metal knocking?
could it be the ABS pump running?
A bad wheel speed sensor will cause the ABS to activate, and you will feel vibration in the pedal, and hear the pump. Or you have a bigger problem.

Good luck.
