A/C not cold after 60K service
Sorry if this is a common question, but I couldn't find a specific answer after searching.
I just did my 60k TB, belts, waterpump, thermostat tune-up. I thought everything was back in order but when I went to turn on the A/C today it wouldn't get cold. Looking from the top I am pretty sure the compressor isn't engaged, but the electric fan is working. Anyone have an idea what I forgot to plug back in?
Any help appreciated, thanks.
BTW, it's a 1999.5 1.8t Quattro 100% stock.

RE: A/C not cold after 60K service
I have the whole front end apart again. The green 12v wire that actuates the clutch is solid as well as the wiring for the pressure sensor back up to the fenderwall. Now I am even more confused. What other switches are there?
Electric fan works
Compressor/clutch work
wiring for the two are good up to the fenderwall
Wiring for the pressure swith is good
Outside temp gauge reads correctly
Fuse looks good
Belt seems to be tight enough
What am I missing?
grrrr
Thanks in advance for any advice

Try holding the recirculation button down and push the fan up and down. I did this to get the code from the A/C and it must have reset something because now my A/C works great. I had the same problem you did before.
