camber problem
i put 225 40/zr18 pirelli PZERO nero's on my 99.5 a4 with sport susp. ( i bought some cheaper 18" rims off ebay)....but i tried to adjust bolt all the way turned in to keep tires from feathering but nothing gives....insides of tires wore down prematurely....how do you guys stick 18's on?....am i missing somethin here>?

RE: camber problem
wait, the rear suspension on a B5 only has two adjustments, camber which is lower bolt thats escentric and the upper bolt which attachs to the rear diff cradle that has the tire rods attached. That bolt is for adjusting toe. You cannot adjust tracking, that is done by geometry of the suspension alone. Am I missing spacers maybe? Or is that few MM of oversize that bad?

RE: camber problem
The left picture is the rear camber adjustment, the right is the toe adjustment. But turning the cam bolt only adjusts the camber/toe a certain amount then goes back the other way once you exceeded the max lift of the cam bolt, for instance if your car is lowered 2" in the rear you might not even get the camber out of the negative spec.

RE: camber problem
i had eyeballed it at first install and then had it laser aligned, and the tires have still worn prematurely, exactly what i have in my book too...both are maxed and still wear...I heard others are running 18's so has anyone else noticed anything?

RE: camber problem
I have those same tires and i get inside tire wear as well but im running 2 degrees negative camber. I have found out that the better tires like michelin ultra sports and pirelli P zero tires wear out a lot faster than cheaper harder rubber. But the tire size and width shouldn't affect tire wear in the least unless its something retarted like 325/35ZR18 then you might see some abnormal wear because its not designed to for that. I would do what CRAZYHAWK said and just rotate them more often.
