When I click on central locks, I get an error "No response from controller" but I can access other parts of the system. Any thoughts?

Actually, just checking, I can't access anything in the Comfort section. Does my car have to be running?

 

Try going to 46-comfort and convienience. Id dont think the b7's have 35-central locking. Your scan tool also may not be able to comunicate with that control module. There is an adapter needed to get to some modules on the b7. If you have an older version of the vag it may not comunicate with all of the modules.

 

Your right ... I managed to get in using 46 and choosing the modual I CAN access. I managed to do what I was looking to do. Thanks for the information.
