Can't Stop in Snow
I am open for whatever comments you have on the following issue. I understand I may get sarcastic and/or helpful stuff. In any case, here is my situation.
I have an 04 A6 s-line. Car should be great in the snow. So it seems it does drive great in the snow, however, now twice I have noticed a real problem getting the car to come to a stop in the snow. I understand the weight of the vehicle and the physics behind stopping a car, but I almost totaled the car yesterday trying to stop from about 15 mph on a road that was just getting snow covered. It seems the Anti-lock breaks start pumping and then the skid starts. Why is it that I can't get the car to stop without sliding? Everyone says "audi is sick in the snow" but now I am just paranoid to drive it in the snow (we got 50 inches in 1 week here in MD....crazy...) Should I have the ESP button on or off in the snow? Any other comments, suggestions, anything to help. I am sure I am not a great driver in the snow but feel very unsafe now.
thanks!
