Unhappy Car just died while driving??

Hello all, could really use some help/suggestions. Have a 2002 Audi TT 1.8 . Car was running great then all of sudden died while coming off highway exit and will not restart?? Oil light came on for a couple seconds right before it died, but then went off. The check engine light is not on either. It seems to have full power and tries to start, but wont. It is like it ran out off gas, but that is not it(added some to be sure). The timing was changed a year ago, oil is fine, fuses are fine. I can also hear the fuel pump start when key is turned on. Not sure what could be the problem?? Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you

The only and first thing that came to my mind is Engine Sludge...I know that the Older TTs have this issue. Get this checked out?

Check voltage at the fuel pump - you may have a bad relay or a dead pump.
