Car makes creaking noise when sterring wheel is turned
Hi guys,
Didn't know exactly where to post this, but I have a 1991 Audi 80 bout 120k on it. I just recently did an overhaul on it, changed spark plugs flushed out system to get it running good again. Anyways, when I'm making a turn the steering wheel or whole column makes a loud creaking noise, the kind of noise that a squeaky chair makes when you sit in it, ya know, but louder.
I've never come across this problem in a car before and wondered if anyone had any ideas on what it could be, or maybe the car's just old lol. Thanks for any help provided.
