Cd changer
Hello all,
I am the owner of a pre facelift A6 C5 model, year 2001. It is fitted with a standard Audi Concert radio cassette player. In the boot (trunk) there is a connection for a CD Changer. This is a round pin with I believe a 13 pin socket. I have by chance obtained a Blaupunkt 10 disc changer and connected it but nothing happens no operation of changer and no display such as cd or error etc., no effect. There is power at the plug. I have removed the radio and am unsure where the cd connector is in this model.
What I would like to know is if I do get the correct cd changer should it be just a straight plug in and it works or is there other work to be done for example changing wiring at the rear of the radio unit? (The changer I have I am told was working but I am unsure if it was an Audi fitment).
Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
