my check engine light came on 3 months after i bought the car 10 months ago. I had the egr port and valve cleaned of the carbon build up and the ecu restarted. The light would come on with in 2 to 6 weeks any where between 300 to 600 miles driven.All the sudden now like the last month the light went off for two days then back on then has been off for the past 2 weeks and the bulb isnt burnt out ?? also my back tail light passenger side the 3rd light inside isnt punched out !! should i drill it out or just tap it out so i can put the bulb inside it?

 

You have to post the fault codes for before anyone can help you with the engine related concern.
I don't know what your asking for the tail lamps, please be a little bit more descriptive.

 

its coming up as egr related !! that my ehxaust isnt filtering right !!!

 

No, your egr or combi valves on the back of the cylinder head may be bad, or the vaccum lines going to the valves may be leaking or broken off. I need the fault codes, engine type, year, model, all these things will help me diagnose it for you. I can't just guess.
