Help! I have a A6, 2001 with 164,000 mi.. Car runs fine until you stop in traffic and start up. The check engine light and the EPC light comes on. Loss of power etc.. Each time the car is driven from cold the same thing happens. I get 8 codes. Accelerator sensor, cam sensors, oxygen sensors, ect. Had local VW mechanic change engine temp. Sensor, cam sensors, accelerator pedal assembly, cleaned throttle body, nothing has solved the problem. He thinks the engine computer is bad. Audi dealer says computer seldom goes bad. I am at a loss of what to try next. I hate to buy a computer from a dealer and not have the problem solved.
Anybody have similar problem? Any suggestions? Help!!
