Clear protective sticker patches need replaceing, how to?
Hello,
I'm looking at picking up an A6 4.2 2002 and I have a question about the protective clear sticker looking stuff thats around the bottom half of the side of the car. It seams like most of the 02's and older cars I've seen have this and its turning yellow or an off color. First off, what is this suppost to be for? Second, has anyone removed them? Is it hard? things to watch out for?
It looks like I can just peal it off, but I dont want to mess up the paint, and there might be something I can use to make the process a tad better. Then depending on how the paint looks, I can either leave them off, or order some new ones to put on and repeat the process in 3 or more years.
Thoughts?

put them wherever you can. they make 'em for hood, bumper, lights and will keep your paint from being sandblasted and rock chipped.3M auto tape is one of the makers and they should know how to remove old stuff.

I just removed a clear bra that was starting to look like crap. It was a pain in the butt. It took me like 2 hors to remove the whole thing. I bought some adhesive remover for the sicky residue that was left behind.
