Hello, i have a 2000 Audi A4 2.8, and unfortunatley the cup holder broke and yes, there was a drink in it, luckily the CD player is just fine, however the climate control is not, is there anyway that i can clean it? Also can you take out the climate control? Also what woud be the cost to fix the climate control do you think? The lights to the climate control all still work, and it still blows air however when you hit the temp down button it makes the rear defroster blink on and off. What could it be?

Another small electrical glitch is when you get in the car and even after you start to drive it dings (like the door is open) and then if you turn on the lights it also dings even after you continue to drive. However if you turn on the interior lights the dinging goes away.... Could it be a fuse?? or something else?

Please let me know of any of your input, thanks...

 

they could all be related to the climate control you need to remove the unit and spray it with dielectric spray which cleans the PCB of coke and things, what a silly place to put a cup holder
