Default Clutch Problems

I have a 2002 audi a4 3.0 6speed. Every now and then when getting off the highway coming home the clutch peddle and the stick will start to shack really bad at high rpms. I have also noticed that when I take off the whole car shakes like the flywheel is warpped. Then after I let it sit overnight and the next morning it will still do it for about a block then it will smooth out. I was wondering what this could be? One of my friends who works on cars says he is about 70% sure that it sounds like the dual mass flywheel is bad. Does that sound correct?

Default RE: Clutch Problems

Well the flywheel may be warped, but most likely you need to change the clutch and throw out bearing, the pressure plate surface tends to warp more than the flywheel does.
If you changed the entire clutch set up and just scuffed up the existing flywheel you should be fine.
