Default coilpack question

I'm looking for a little help I recently bought a 02 a4 1.8 quattro about 3 months ago , the other day a spark plug came off completely i replaced it but the following day it was a little loose again and i tightened it up but the coilpack keeps on coming off making my car run like crap. Would that be the coilpack or the spark plug being striped? Oh and another thing my a4 is running lean and something about bank 1 if anybody can help me i would appreciate it.

If you already changed the spark plug then the rubber grommet that holds the coil to the plug maybe worn out, in which case you would need a new coilpack. You could also jerry rig a little bracket that holds the coilpack in, some people have done that using the existing threaded holes next to the coil packs. That or you can just buy the hitachi coil packs that bolt in already using those holes. You can get those at www.ecstuning.com.

P.S. The hitachi coil packs are 1,000% more reliable than the Bremi push in coils as well.

that will prolly fix your problem with the check engine light its prolly not running lean but rich cause your plugs is not firing and hence unburned fuel is going in to the cat saying its bad happened to mine i changed all four packs just to be safe and no codes yet the code i got was p0420

The Forge 004 is about the only blow off valve you can use without messing with the engine management too much.

The engine managment is designed to see the recirculated air from the Diverter Valve, if you vent the air to atmosephere like a BOV does you could eventually develop a check engine light. The Forge hybrid valve does a little of both which is cool, but the 004 Forge valve has been used on our cars without any real problems. I think some people have adapted the HKS sequential BOV as well. PM CincyTT, he knows just about everything to do with BOV's.
