Conventional Vs. Synthetic oil

Conventional Vs. Synthetic oil
I was just wondering if I have used Synthetic oil for 90,000 miles would it be okay to switch back to Regular motor oil. What are the benefits, and what are the negatives? Any info will help. Thanks!
