Exclamation engine diag question

specs. 2000 Audi A4 quattro, 1.8t engine code ATW all stock except H&R Springs

driving down the hwy in 5th gear roughly 3500rpm. blew white smoke out of tailpipe and then more white smoke out of engine bay. got p0300 code for random misfire. coilpacks are good. car has 195k on it. all ive had to replace was the coilpack and sparkplugs along with routine maintenance
Blown Head Gasket??? or something else???

car rough idles like only firing on 2 cylinders. also was just a week away from replacing the stock K03 with a T28 because of shaft play and turbine fans clicking on inside of housing along with not showing a vacuum on my boost gauge. Any help is greatly appreciated. im used to building Nissans and Hondas. this is my first audi

Get the computer scanned for any codes. They'll be the first step of diagnosing it. Post up the codes and we can go from there.

He states the 300 code Jeremy. Duh

Wild guess without seeing the car is turbo might be dumping coolant into the exhaust Also turbo could be causing rough idle and misfire condition.

Also how do you know the packs are good? Did you test them? Old style coils can blow in a day. Do you have upgraded ones? Did you use generic reader or vag com?

I used my generic reader and scanner. didnt have my laptop with me to use vag com.
packs are good. likelihood of 3 packs that are only 2-3 months old going bad all at once. slim

I had 4 bad right out of their boxes. How old are the plugs. What are they gapped at? Crank position sensor going bad? Maf? Does the 2000 have an icm? There's a **** ton that can go wrong and with just the one code it's hard to say

plugs are just as old as the coils. 2-3 months. gapped at .028. not sure if the 2000 came with an icm. I'll check the MAF and crank pos sensor monday after work.
