When I was driving My 2010 A4 to work today the Car just stopped running as I drove it. Towed 60 miles to dealer in Rhode Island. Got the bad news. Timing chain guide failure caused a timing chain sequence issue that cause the pistons to hit the valves. Result engine failure.

Estimated cost of repair +/- $11,000. Has anyone heard of this problem. This car has been dealer maintained for its entire life (one owner - me), 115,000 miles, 4 years old.

The car had the oil consumption problem, replaced pistons and turbo at dealers expense +/- 85,000 miles.
