Just purchased my first audi. Ran into problems in the first week. The engine began what I would call "choke", the engine started running rough and car lost power and would find it difficult to pick up the revs, this problem lasted a couiple of minutes twice in the first few days.

Since then, the same problem occured and lasted for a few minutes longer and the engine managment light became active. I parked the car up overnight, and the engine ran fine the next morning, I booked into a non specailst garage who diagnosed the problem with the coil pack (?) and quoted an extortionate amount to correct the issue.

I asked them to reset the light. Since then I have had the problem on and off, the engine management becomes active and then switches off again and the problem is intermittent.

I had a similar problem with a mercedez i used to own, the issue with the merc only happened when starting from cold, whereas the audi is having issues even after it has been driven. The problem with the merc was the O2 sensor.

Please help!!!
