I have a 2000 TT Quattro and in the past few months I have broken the lower bolt on the passenger side engine mount,stripped out the bolt holes joining the two sections of the pass. side engine mount, and it looks like I just broke the lower bolt again. My car has a stock powertrain and I've made it a point not to dump the clutch from a stop. Has anyone else had this problem and/or have any advice that can save me from having this problem in the future.

 

so what mods have you done?? the bolts breaking like that are not a common thing are all the other mounts ok?

 

The only mod isan AFE filter. I haven't had a chance to look inspect everything yet; but last time it happened the other mounts appeared to be fine.
