Engine Swap 2.8L t o2.7L biturbo
Hello, I got a 99 A4 2.8L. Kinda of getting bored with it. It's got a few mods in the suspesion and body. Loooking real sleek. Now I want to play with the engine. But there is no mods(well not many). Plus it's gonna be parked for six months due to losing my permits. So I thought of maybe swapping my engine for a S4 engine. Also i just got a sweet deal on a pair of stock 2001 S4 turbos in great condition. So before going any further I need to know for sure that my swap can be done. (Of course it can), but can it be done easily? I've searched online and haven't heard anyone doing this swap. So any thoughts or answers would be very helpful.

it be easier to supercharge the engine that to swap it.
if you want more that 300HP then only swap is posibly to make more.
it cannot be done easily as you need also the wiring harneset and the ECU.
SC it and rip the pavement.

I agree with kakarot. also as far as i know the stock 5 speed in the a4 dosent fit with the s4 engine. also the engine alone is around 3000 plus about 500( if your lucky for a wiring harness) then another 200 or so for an ECU. all assuming you do your own work. and lastly the b5 has a very cramped area to work in. go supercharger even with s4 ko3 turbos you need to custom build new turbo manifolds, piggy back the ECU, and lower the compression on the engine. with a supercharger you can get the whole kit at www.motodyne.com . or do as i plan to do buy a used sc and jerry rig it to my 2.8QM.
