Hi there. I'm new to the forum and have been searching for a thread with my issue, but I can't find one. I have ab B8 2011 Audio A5 Quatro Cabriolet. My tensioner failed and I took it to the mechanic to put in a rebuilt engine. He's trying to start it for the first time, but there's an electrical problem. The engines turns, but won't start. No spark, no gauge or dash lights, electric locks don't work. Radio will play, but the screen displays "Turn ignition on to configure selected system".

The system scan says it can't read all the systems, and terminal 15 shows off even with the key in and ignition on. The mechanic is stumped and had checked all fuses and they seem good. We confirmed the windows didn't work when the car came off the tow truck, so apparently, it arrived with the electrical problem. Therefore he is looking for a casue BEFORE the engine swap. The ONLY thing I did before it got loaded on the truck was trying to start it with a lithium jump battery, which it did, misfired horribly and then died. Polarity was correct.

Any thoughts or input from anyone who can contribute here would be greatly appreciated.
