I have an '03 A4 1.8T and i LOVE it

I do have a question though...Would someone be able to tell me (or tell me where to find) how to hard wire a radar detector.

I bought a Passport 8500X50, and the hard wiring kit, but I have no idea how to do it.

A friend of mine is removing his rearview mirror and installing a rear facing camera with a dash mounted monitor. This is on his 06 Eclipse. Then hard wiring his Bel radar detector in the mirrors old spot. I'm curious how that's going to look and work...
