it says coolant thermostat as one of the problems?? so air lock is the most likely problem chances are the sensor is ok, I wish you luck but keep the site informed

to bleed this system, run the engine to normal temp "without the coolant filler cap on" the water will overflow that's normal then the fan will cut in and the water level will drop keep filing till all air is out then put the cap on and test for hot air in the car "heat must be set to hot-fan on 1 so it bleeds the heater matrix"

ok i just tried to bleed the system. it never bubbled at all tho. the cap was off and the water level was just steady. so i guess there wasnt really any air in the system. but i cant even locate where the coolant temp sensor is at to change it. can anybody help me out with this...preferably with pictures so i can see it. or this is prolly weird, but can you give me your number so i can call you to figure this out. sorry, i know its not your problem, but this is annoying lol

Actually, it does, sorta. Mind you I'm ONLY speaking fro my emperical experiences, here. In MY car, albeit an A8, on cold mornings, even though the heat controls light up when the car is on, it don't pump no heat until the "temp" begins to register heat. Don't know if it's regulated by the gauge, or not, but it stands to reason...
