Default Help!! Brakes failed

Hello all,

I nearly died tonight on the way home from work when the brake pedal went straight to the floor.
It feels like no fluid but I haven't lost any and I can't see any leaks. It's really scary this one because the brake pedal had no effect (even with a hard push). Any ideas?

Cheers,

Brian

Sabotage (could well be....). The thing is, there is no booster on this car (it's fed off the power steering rack). There is a large plastic 'bottle' under the front wing which is fed from the intake manifold.......do you know wht that is?

It's a '93 80 2.6 Avant. I've just tried the following (advise from another site):-

Turned steering full lock, pumped brakes 10 times. The warning light started to flash.....The advise given is that this is the PS pump or 'bomb'. Where is the bomb on a 2.6? Is it the large plastic bottle under the wheelarch?
