Hey, I have a 2000 audi a4 quattro 1.8L. My transmission is done.I need a new one , but I do not know which is the right transmission code for it. It's a automatic/tiptronic. I have been doing research, and it appears that there are like five different codes for it. I am not sure if its a EFQ,DTV,DDT,EFP, or a EZS transmission for my car.

Where do you find the automatic transmission code on a '98 A4 Avant that is 'not' a Quattro?

 

I found mines in the trunk. Where the spare tire goes there should be a sticker with all of the info such as engine code and tranny code.

 

I did find mine on the bellhousing. It was very easy to read. DRD. Now I need to find a used one.
