Default How to disable A8 oil pressure warning

I've got a '97 A8 and I want to disable the low oil pressure warning on the instrument cluster. The warning covers up my trip computer and is quite annoying. I've replaced the sensor, but when I wiggle the wire going to the sensor it causes the warning to appear. I have not been able to trace down the short so I would like to just disable it. I know with the brake pad wear warning light, you could cut and ground one of the wires to the back of the instrument cluster. Is this possible for the oil pressure warning light too? Any advice is appreciated.

I did figure out how, just forgot to post. I traced the wire from the oil pressure sending unit and found that colored wire going into the PCM in the electronics box, I cut it and grounded it to a nearby bolt and the oil light has never returned. It's been a while since I did it, but I think there was only one wire coming from the sending unit which made it easy to find in the harness, but I could be remembering incorrectly.
