how often should synthetic oil be changed?

i'm planning to change it at 6k miles, but thought i would check to see what other people think

id say no more than 5k but there are ones that dont require it for 15k

Call me paranoid but I change my oil every three thousand. Wife hates it (7 quarts and $25 for the filter) but hey pay now or pay later.
