Default HP rating rumor

Hi I'm a newb to audiforums but a regular at clubgp.com. I figured this was the best place to ask my question: does Audi measure their advertised HP #'s at the wheels? I heard this from a cousin of mine who has a 02 S4. After posting about the upcoming race I have scheduled w/ the S4, on clubgp, I was told this isn't true. Help me out! TIA

They measure at the crank. Man, those guys on the forum really have no idea what they are blabbing about half the time. [&:]

Yeah most of us don't know jack about European cars...sad isn't it?

The saddest part is that my cousin w/ the 02 S4 is the one who originally told me that Audi measures HP at the wheels

What exactly were you referring to though?

Wow, someone else from ClubGP here. I have been posting there for like 4 years.

I'd like to say that not everyone on that forum is stupid enough to believe Audi rates their HP at the wheels. But I can't speak for everyone at the site because you're always going to have 'noobs' who don't know much about cars.
