Default I NEED HELP!S BBK timing chain failure!!

hi! ( sorry for my english!! i am french!!! )
so, i just buy a A4 b6 2004 swapped S4 , 4.2l 40v ;bbk;
i just get it for 1000$ ,reason it wont start up!
im pretty sure that is a timing chain failure!
So the question is... THIS BLOCK have clearence between piston and valve when the chain slapped?

I did that. The follow up has been from the dealer with the offer. The dealer said Audi agreed to pay for the parts for the cylinder head and timing chain but want me to pay for the labor. I think this is ridiculous. Thoughts?

Unfortunately the engines are "interference" engines so there are bent valves. The 4.2L in those cars used a timing belt not a chain. Still you've probably got multiple bent valves is the belt is broken.

You say it won't start. If there are bent valves there will be very little compression. So when cranking the engine, it will spin a lot faster than usual.

Default Help! Timing chain failure!

How did you get Audi to pay?? I'm having same issue. Might need new engine for $7000. My car only has 43k miles....aaagh!
