just bought 1987 audi gt coupe to restore. but im confused on trying to get the spec on it according to mostsites data on itmy 2.2 5cylinder should not have disks on back for the year but mine does have them, could it be i got the wrong model or something or is it cos its a irish gt coupe. oh ye im new user from ireland.

Leave the drums for other fancy cars with monster mifflers
It seems to me the rear brakes are the same since 1984 till today (disks and calippers)

 

just found out seams to be the 1987 american model had drum on back. but the european model had disks on back.

 

Not a Quattro ...

 

no it ante a quattro only front wheel drive. its the gt coupe.
