I recently lost the keys to my 2003 Audi A4, I ordered a new key from the dealer that matched the vin # to my car... After getting the key, I had a lock smith attempt to program it with no success. I then have it towed to Audi as they explain they are the only ones who can program it.. After several attempts to program it they tell me that they cant and that i would have to pay diagnostic time to program it.. i agreed to pay their hourly rate.. but after several hours they not tell me that they can't get the car to read the satelites and that the car could have several problems.. I don't understand this because the car was just fine prior to losing the key. The teck started suggesting body control harnests, instrument clusters, etc but he basically said he didn't know where to start.. He said that he found high resistance on two wires but didnt' know what to make of that.. Has anyone seen anything like this? is there a solution out there? Please help me.
