Hi everyone.....I own a 2002 Audi A4 Quattro with the 1.8L engine and an automatic trans....I was wondering if i could ask if any of you might know the answer to a question that has been bugging me and maybe give me some advise on what i could do. I was wondering if and how i could make my turbo sound louder. Its just a little too quiet for my taste. Also I know that audi doesnt have a blowoff valve on their turbos...but could one be installed? And is it possible to install a manual boost control valve and not set a check engine light? Please somebody help me!!

well for a slightly louder turbo spool you could put an intake on your car or just a cone filter. and yes you could put a BOV on but i wouldnt recomend it audi's are ment to be run on a diverter vale for recirculation not an atmospheric bov

 

my father owns a 2005 audi a4 1.8t and we put a k&n air intake on it and yes u can now tell that there is a turbo under the hood! U can deffinatly hear it now! So thats what i would sugest.

 

Ohh yea i just put a K&N intake 57ion my TTQ and i noticed a dramatic difference. All i hear is turbo spool and that good ol swoosh that everyone likes(well for me atleast). It might even sound better than the orgasm of women

 

maybe you could start by getting rid of an automatic and get a manual transmission so your Turbo has enough time to spool before it boosts
