I purchased from a local used car business a 1997 Audi A8 Quattro with approx. 130K mi. in early January. Car salesman kept telling me how well maintained the vehicle was - I believed him, of course, because of all of his assurances. One salesman told me everything worked. 19 days later...car wouln't start on two occasions (not battery) and then later engine light came on and started flashing. Car was vibrating if I drove over 30 mph. and sounded like it wouldn't accelerate for me anyway. So far have spent over $700 for camshaft position sensor replacement and all spark plugs replaced because they were all worn out with one plugs electrode burned off. Additionally, valve cover gasket leaking externally and internally into #2 spark plug hole. Left dealer with car as they thought it was fixed, but drove a mile and engine light came on flashing, etc. Went back to dealer and now they tell me the EOC needs to be replaced as it is failing. I was just wanting to know from those of you Audi owners, if you think these should have happened to a well maintained '97 Audi A8 despite the mileage???
