Default My '91 Audi 100 is eating Alternator belts...help!!

Ok Everyone...newbie here with my first of many questions. I have a 1991 Audi 100 with the 5 cylinder engine. Just bought it used for $1000 in great shape with 90K on it. Been sitting, so it's a little stiff, but a real nice car. The problem that I and the previous owner have had is that it throws alternator belts continually. I have put two on in the last 73 hours and the last one actually turned itself inside out (teeth showing)!

I have checked the pully alignment and it seems to be good.

The adjustment cam seems OK too.

Any thoughts or suggestions on how I can modify the mounting to get rid of the cam arrangement and go back to a standard bolt mounting?

Thanks for the help and I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

Happy Holiday Season!..........Kurt a/k/a LeLimoMan
