I have a 2001 a4 1.8t...... My inside door lever is very loose, most likely from pulling on it too hard and 90,000 miles of use. The spring seems to have broke because the lever does not go back to its proper position when I pull it. The door still opens and it works fine.... its just annoying as hell. I was wondering if I could get behind the door panel and repair this without purchasing a new door handle kit. If i do have to make a purchase, where can i find this kit.

same problem with my 2001 a4 2.8.....mechanic believes its a broken spring. am going to see if dealer will sell the part
