Default Need help 01 Allroad b5 2.7t bi-turbo

So my Allroad has a check engine light on and is making a funny sputter right around 3k in 2nd rear and in 3rd at 3500 when iblet off the accelerator. This is an automatic with 128k on it new plugs and coils. Is it under boost or a boost leak bad diverter valve? I have no clue battery is good as well.

All help is appreciated need my daily running better

Could also be the PCV valve. The one on my A8 developed a rip in the diaphragm in the valve and caused a sputtering noise during on and off accelerator instances. To test the PCV valve, with the engine at idle, remover the oil filler cap slowly. If you feel it being sucked back onto the engine when you pull it out of the hole, the PCV valve is not working correctly. Easy replacement. They cost about $40.

You need to scan for codes to see why the CEL is on and report back. First step every time.
