Default New to audi have a turbo issue at hand

Hi not sure how strict this forum is but im going to write quick with little punctuation, I am in the market for a audi, took a look at one and i was expecting a engine knock like the description said, but when i got there the car drove in first fine, but after the boost from first to second, when shifting to second the car bogged down big time, we took it back to the guy he said it has never done that, so he ripped the turbo and wastegate out and diagnosed that he said a hose was loose off the turbo and the wastegate was shot, could this be the cause of the car bogging and having little to no acceleration in second..
Thanks hope to get a quick reply

Don't buy it. You're going to spend more money getting that fixed than what the car is worth. I would imagine either turbo or tranny. But still VERY expensive to fix. If your in the market go to Audi and get a good used car.

Do you know at what RPM the bogging started? Thanks!

actually if all it is, is the turbo it could be the best cheapest car you could get....

you can source a used turbo for under $100 and fix the car.... but you have to know that is the issue.... how much did he want for the car?

can you do some wrenching?

was there a cel?
