Oil Leak???

Default Oil Leak???

I have a 2.8 V6 Tiptronic and has some significant oil leak from the bottom of the car (Same place always). What are the common area of the oil leak?

oil pan gasket ( just a commom place on most cars), vavlve cover gasket, rear main seal, overfilled oil leaking through the exhaust manifold, loose oil drainbolt.all i can think of now.

Overfill??? Humm. I have lost in the last 4 days a lot of oil and the dipstick still shows normal??? What's the remedy for overfill? Just let it continue to loose and at one point it will stop?

thats really the way i would do it but do know that overfilled oil can seep into teh exhaust and destroy the cats., also i just remembered that its not a visual oil leak but you can have bad spark plug gasket which will leak oil intot eh engine along with worn piston rings which will also result in loss of oil.
