Default Park Brake Warning- Please help!

We have recently bought a 2004 Audi A6 4.2 Sedan (C6) with 220ks. The cars handbrake wouldnt engage and made and horrible noise when you pressed the handbrake switch.
Car drove fine but the parking brake light would flash while driving.

After taking it to the workshop, they said the rear calipers were seized and needed replacing. We got them replaced, however now the handbrake works perfectly fine but we are still getting the park brake warning light and now it has a constant beep while driving which it didnt do.

The diagnostic scanner does not pick up any faults and everything is operating as it should.

Anyone have any ideas?

Otherwise any experience with removing the beeping noise atleast?

Much appreciated

There should be a contact switch at the base of the parking brake handle that opens the warning light circuit when the lever is fully down. It sounds to me like that the contact switch is stuck or defective. Whoever you took the car to to get it fixed should have fixed that too.
