Default passing emissions test

I recently bought an Audi s4 out of state and need to pass the emissions test to be able to register and insure it in NC. I looked up the state rules and NC does not have the 4wd exemption. My problem is that the new exhaust has no convertors. I do have the stock exhaust but wondered if there is any way to trick the reader into thinking i have convertors.

The problem is NC hooks up a computer to your car and it reads the vin number.... so you cant bring two cars and have it read the other as mine. If i reset my ECU would if effect my car since it has a APR flip chip? this would hopefully keep the engine light off for a long enough to pass the test. any other ideas?

So iv called round a few tuning shops in hopes that there is someone out there who can fake out the computer to show that my exhaust has cat convertors but no luck I guess im going to have to put the stock one back on and then go through inspection and switch it again.
