Default Which plugs do I use?

Hi Guys,
I have an 02 A4 quattro. I replaced the plugs at 60 000Km with NGK platinums. My cold starts are very rough and the car really seems to sputter and choke. I was talking to a guy and he told me that I should stick to bosch dual tip platinums as these are the OEM's. Any feedback from you guys would be appreciated. BTW, its now got 86000 Km.

I thought NGK PFR6Q are oem. This is for a 1.8t.

Hi Crazyhawk,

I forgot to mention that mine is a 1.8 T. I have been having trouble getting an exact answer after researching online. I originially pulled the PFR6Q's out and replaced with the same. Now I'm hearing that Bosch 7402 dual tip platinums may be a better way to go. I heard that a double tipped plug may smooth it out. Not sure what I think about all this. Would love some feedback.

You might have a bad ignition coil.

How would I go about diagnosing if I have a bad ignition coil?

Have the codes read. Move the coil from the bad cylinder to another,
and see if the code changes.
