pretty easy question to help diagnose vacuum leak
what do most of u guys recommend to use to check for a vacuum leak. i dont have a vacuum pressure gauge and have heard u can spray an aerosol to help check for leaks. now i know you dont want flamable sprays around hot areas but its kinda hard to not spray something hot in an engine, any suggestions?
thanks.
PS i had the rough idle problem if anyone read that thread and it was my MAF but its still showing the P0102 and lower catalytic threashold code so im checking for leaks now. thanks guys

Well using a carb cleaner should bog down the engine if it gets sucked into the intake, which is the safest route. The old school way is to use a propane torch (not lit of course) which will cause the idle to race if it gets sucked into the intake.
Last but not least the safest, and most effective way of finding it is to hook up a smoke machine. This injects smoke from the throttle body and whatever is leaking will have smoke come out of it, which makes it easy to pinpoint. Most shops have these.
P.S post your fault codes, a catalytic converter fault usually means it needs a new cat.
