I live in Moscow and have just received a huge bill for $3,500 for repairs to my Audi 8. Most of the bill is made up of changing one head gasket, fitting a new oil pressure switch, a new radiator and new brakes all round, changing of all the transmission and hydraulic oils plus a load of other 'necessary' stuff including a leaking fuel line!

Anyway, what to do, I love the car and it needs to be maintained. When I received the vehicle, the drivers door mirror housing and glass were both damaged and my retractable aerial no longer retracts. When I asked Audi here in Moscow, they quoted me nearly $300 for the aerial and nearly $1,000 for the complete mirror fitting! Are these people crazy or are these prices standard across the world?

Can anyone advise how much a new complete mirror for an Audi 8 cost in the USA or Europe? If its cheaper to import stuff then I will do it.
