Default Radar Detector Suggestions and/or Turbo Timers

Since we all have fast cars..I'm sure we all think about it! Any suggestions on a GOOD radar detector? Currently have the Rocky Mtn Radar. Also, Turbo Timers? Are they worth it and/or easy to install? Where to buy? Thx Ray

i love my bel, i would be in deep s#$t without it - pretty easy to instal lol. As turbo timers go, APR makes a nice one, not very easy to instal. while we are on the topic, it might make more sense to instal a remote starter, tho a little bit more difficult to instal it gives you the advantage of a remote starter and an alarm on your car (you can leave the motor running when you leave for a set amount of time on a lot of units). I recommend using either a valet or viper - same company different applications. and you can lock the doors and set the alarm while the car is on, even if someone breaks into it they will stall it out once they press the breaks. And it is illegal to instal it on a manual car in most states - easy to bypass tho, but thats another topic in itself

Default get the Escort Passport X50 or the Valentine 1

get the Escort Passport X50 or the Valentine 1...none of the others come close to these two...if you search on the internet you can find independent testing done on the most popular models and the X50 and Valentine 1 are in a different league...well worth the cost, cant skimp on something as important as this
As for the turbo timer I dunno b/c I have a G2

HERPTILE is spot on, i have the passport 8500 x50, and after lots of research i found these two seem to always be the best two. the valentine tells you how many sources its tracking at once, and whether the signal is coming from the front side or rear, but these features arent really of any value to me, and the x50 was around $100 dollars less.

I plan on buying a V1 very soon. Everyone seems to love it. Turbo timers tend to be a waste of money. Just drive easy the last few minutes of beating on your engine and you'll be fine.
