Radio jumps when playing
Hi, everyone. I hope that someone knows something here and can help me.
I have an Audi 2009 2.0 TDI Avant and have just noticed that when playing the radio, it jumps/drops out, as though the record is scratched on a turntable.
It does it regularly, about every 5 seconds, it is like a Dalek from Dr Who if you know what I mean?

Really? Someone can't answer your question and you complain about it?
But besides the obvious issue that there is something wrong with the radio. Probably a loose connection on the back is the logical place to look first. You will need a set of radio removal keys to get it out. You can get those cheap on Ebay. The radios are very easy to remove with these keys that slip into the slots in the face of the radio to disengage the retainer clips that keep it in the dash. The keys also serve as handles or sorts to pull the unit out. Once you get it out, the connectors on the back are easily checked.
